Project Description

The project "Imams in Austria" aims at a typification of Imams and studies their role in society as well as their influence on the integration process. The focus of the study lies on the interconnectedness of their qualification, values, norms and their educational ideals.

The incomplete fundament of migration sociology shall be enriched by a qualitative study. With the inclusion of the individual perspective of the Imams, a certain degree of differentiation will be achieved and new scientific insights will be gained.
